Stream and River Corridor Conservation
A goal of Vermont's stream and river corridor conservation programs is to resolve or avoid conflicts between human investments and river systems in a manner that is technically sound and both economically and ecologically sustainable. The purpose of the stream geormorphic assessment protocols is to provive a method for gathering scientifically sound information that can be used for watershed planning and detailed characterization of riparian and instream habitat, stream-related erosion, and flood hazards.
