7.5 Channel Adjustment Processes Narrative
Channel has incised and is widening (abundant erosion). An old beaver dam was breached and left major aggradation behind. Stream is working through sediment and adjusting to a new planform. Braided section in center of segment. No evident juvenile floodplain yet. Although aggradation historically occurred through the breaching of the beaver dam, we did not check it as a historic process since aggradation could continue to occur naturally due to being near the bottom of the watershed.
