This reach is highly dynamic with large volumes of sediment working through and being stored in the reach. The reach is B-type by reference in a narrow valley, departed to F due to deep incision and entrenchment. During T.S. Irene lower benches were scoured away and the channel appears to have cut downward. Deposition of coarse material throughout the channel and finer material along the margins has led to areas of widening and planform adjustment. Grade control is very limited and we assessed the reach as Stage II due to incision, however it may transition to Stage III soon if aggradation of coarse material continues.
