This reach is incised due to historic straightening, armoring, and berming. The channel widened during T.S. Irene, likely scouring away lower benches. The resulting increase in encroachment caused a stream departure from C to Bc. The channel does not appear to be incising further and we observed large areas of deposition and some ongoing widening.
