7.5 Channel Adjustment Processes Narrative
This segment is incised and entrenched due to extensive historic straightening and armoring. The bed appears stable with coarse substrate and ongoing bar formation along channel margins. The downstream portion of the channel eroded the historic armoring and quickly adjusted planform, likely during T.S. Irene, however the remainder of the segment is locked in place. The reach is in stage II but may slowly progress to stage III as aggradation continues.
