Comments:
Segment runs through agricultural land currently farmed by Jesse Billings. Banks turn into silt/clay near confluence with Otter Creek and bank height as well is may be influenced by bankfull height of Otter Creek at downstream end. High degree of bank erosion and channel adjustment. Lots of LWD recruitment. Although some areas are in need of better shade, habitat in this reach is good (despite embedded substrates) - good depth cover and LWD in channel. Continued investment in channel management will be necessary in order to keep channel in relative location, however this area is highly dynamic and should be expected to always be undergoing extreme adjustment, especially during flood events as the river reacts to changes in sediment transport and hydrology in the watershed upstream.
