Comments:
Bankfull width was much wider than reference width. Stream has either been widened or reference channel width is too narrow. Phase 2 channel width was used to determine phase 2 confinement type because of the uncertainty associated with reference channel width. Valley wall is variable along reach. Right side of stream the valley wall was beyond a high terrace at times and other times seemed continuous with the bank. Slope of segment is high due to bedrock gorge section in reach. Segment A has lower slope than upper portion of reach. Walked segment A again on 5/5/10 to look for RAF. RAF not clear in the field. There are areas with a terrace adjacent to channel, but this was not consistent throughout the segment. Decided to select RAF to be the same as the bankfull elevation based on 5/5/10 field work.
