This portion of the channel is shallower. It is redeveloping a floodplain, showing extensive erosion on both banks, faster flow, bars and higher sinuosity. Staci: There may be a range of incision ratios from 1 to 1.4; given the evidence of historic incision along some locations in the reach and that some locations along the reach are accessing floodplain (as seen on 12/29/08 and 1/11/08). Site should be evaluated for specific incision data prior to project development.
