Comments:
Slight human-caused change in valley width, historically, by road which is now abandoned. Enough to cause change in stream type (narrow to Semi-confined), but not significant enough to change confinement status (unconfined) or reference stream type. Two occurrences of channel-spanning bedrock. Several occurences of lateral grade control by bedrock along RB. Occasional step/pool bedform. A few mass failure sites where channel impinges on RB or LB valley wall. Two four-wheeler fords. Horse pasture along LB corridor near downstream end of reach. RB & LB gullies terminate at valley wall, not at Flower Brook channel. All are delivering fine gravel sediments to Flower Brook valley and to channel during higher flows. Flow in tributaries with gullies is ephemeral (dry on assessment date).
