Comments:
Historic straightening inferred due to linear planform on 1994 orthophotos and close encroachment of ag fields. Channel now developing sinuosity. One stream ford at wp19. The channel appears to have created a narrow floodplain for itself at lower elevation. The channel presently occupies a forested buffer area ranging in total width from 120 feet to 300 feet within the segment. Pockets of forested floodplain are available on alternating left and right banks. One noted head cut is local to a recent debris-jam-induced avulsion site that has resulted in a bifurcated channel around a vegetated island. Does not appear to be indicative of system-wide incision.
