Reach has been significantly altered by history of village industry and dams. Extensive straightening, riprap, and bridge crossings. Historic diversions and dam remnants in channel and on banks. Current channel is functioning as an unincised C4, although the extent of floodplain has certainly been significantly altered by development in the village and this reach is likely acting as more of a transport reach than in its pre-settlement condition. Note: Unconsolidated silt in bed and banks.
