Comments:
During Phase 1, the downstream reach point of T5.3-S1.01 was placed approximately 400 feet upstream of the confluence with Stony Brook. Because of this, only 60 feet of Fletcher Brook counts as being within segment A. In actuality, the segment is 465 feet long and continues to the confluence. Segment is a natural alluvial fan that was evidently channelized and windrowed post-Irene. Due to the placement of the reach point during Phase 1, Phase 2 impacts were not able to be recorded in the SGAT FIT and are not reflected accurately in the DMS. Impacts that could not be recorded include: buffers less than 25 feet for 300 feet on the left bank and 75 feet on the right side; 50feet of hard bank on the left bank; 185 feet of straightening with windrowing; 75 feet of erosion on the right bank; 54 feet of riprap on the left bank; one overland flow stormwater input; and one cross section. Imagery from Pre-Irene suggests that there was once a building on the left bank between the brook and Fletcher Brook Rd, which was no longer present immediately after Irene, but this was not field confirmed.
