Comments Head cut locations in FIT are approximate only (weather conditions on assessment date blocked sattelite reception on the GPS unit). Development (1.3) refers to a brief section of valley fill material on the downstream side of the farm road culvert crossing at the upper extent of the segment. The majority of this development and the culvert itself were feature indexed in the upstream Segment B. Downstream portions of the segment have greater floodplain access. "Sand" in pebble count is actually silt/clay. Upstream impoundment (4.5) is road fill.DifferentStep5.aspx Comments

AdjustmentNarrativeSegment has deep incision with active downcutting and erosion. Numerous gullies were observed along the steep valley walls from surface and tile drain inputs. Fine sediment offers no resistance to further erosion. STD: Cb to G. Active incision over a majority of the segment has lead to loss of FP connection and STD. Cohesive silt/clay bed/banks moderating widening. Stressor(s) leading to incision may include hydrologic: tile/gully drainage.DifferentStep7.aspx7.5Channel Adjustment Processes Narrative
