Comments Straightening probable along edge of pasture and St Armand Rd, downstream of box culvert. Cross section located in locally narrower valley in the transition from alluvial fan setting (Seg B) out to broader Rock River flood plain. Bed substrate (2.12) nearly all silt/clay. Direct pasturing along a majority of the reach. Human-caused change in valley width (1.5) is by St. Armand Road along RB and a post-1995 driveway along RB.Different

AdjustmentNarrativeVHD centerline mapping is incorrect, stream closely follows the road from the mouth to the Saint Armand Road crossing. The reach has been historically straightened leading to ongoing incision with a departure from E to F type. Fine sediment has accumulated in the channel replacing dune ripple features with a plane bed. Minor erosion was observed, however we did not see evidence that the channel was actively widening or attempting to adjust planform. The lower portion of the segment ~650ft up from mouth had incised C type geometry with some access to the large forested floodplain to the south. Minor adjustments. Planform change caused by historic straightening, berming. Potential incision, widening has probably been moderated by cohesiveness of bed and bank substrates.Different
