I just put version 22 of Focus on Floods onto our testing website.
The link to turn it on is
http://dotnetv4.vtanr.state.vt.us/DEC/FoFReports/Default.aspx
This version adds some fields for VTrans data to the Municipality table.
On the VTrans tab on the webpage where you can edit Municipality information, you will find the following changes.
The VTrans District is now drawn from a dropdown list for consistency.
There are new fields named Road and Bridges Standards PDF, Certificate of Compliance With Road Standards PDF and Network Inventory Date.
If you look at the record for Barre City, you will see that I’ve uploaded a couple of PDFs that I had laying around to test the two new PDF storage fields.
When you are in VIEW mode for the page, you can click on the hyperlinks for the PDFS and they will open in a new tab
When you are in EDIT mode, you will see the name of the last uploaded file above the area where you can BROWSE to select a new file to upload from your PC/the network. To actually upload the file you’ve selected, you need to press the SAVE or SAVE+RETURN button. The new file will be uploaded with today’s date suffixed on the end.
To manage the new VTransDistrict dropdown list, there is a hyperlink to the new luVTransDistrict page on the Maintenance page. For a District, you can enter the District Number, District Name, HomePageURL, VTrans Contact Email Address, VTrans Contact Name and VTrans Contact Phone Number. Both of you should have authority to edit this lookup table at this time.
Ned, if you look at the MunicipalRoadAndBridgeSummaryReport on the SQL reporting services, you will find I’ve added all the new fields to the MainQuery dataset. I’ve also added a field like CertificateOfComplianceWithRoadStandardsPDFURL….which contains a valid hyperlink to reach the PDF name stored in the CertificateOfComplianceWithRoadStandardsPDF field.
I’m about to leave for the day and I’m not working tomorrow.
If you have a chance tomorrow, take a look at the new state of things.
If it all looks good, we’ll talk about deploying this to the production server so PDF uploads and data-edits will be retained and we can move forward.
