Assessments

Assessments based on habitat indexes developed by EPA’s National Lake Assessment program.

Habitat Comparisons

Comparison of the average habitat characteristics of sites around SHADOW (GLOVER) with the average habitat characteritics at undeveloped and developed sites at other lakes in the state.

Disturbances

Disturbance components that make up the Lakeshore Disturbance score. ‘1.0’ indicates disturbance occurs in the immediate shoreline plot. ‘0.5’ indicates the disturbance occurs in an area proximal to, but not within, the immediate shoreline plot.

Water Quality

Comments: Inlet 1 was not flowing at all, but there is an 18” culvert. Could not find inlet 2. Inlet 3 was a trickle at the time, it comes from well overlow that is 60gpm but during runoff events it runs more. Inlet 4 is a trickle and area of sediment delta is noted as 4m2, but could be really big as shallow sandy area goes out a ways. Lots of filamentous green algae at inlet 5, with abundant Elodea canadensis! Good flow at inlet 5.
