Assessments

Assessments based on habitat indexes developed by EPA’s National Lake Assessment program.

Habitat Comparisons

Comparison of the average habitat characteristics of sites around FOREST (CALAIS) with the average habitat characteritics at undeveloped and developed sites at other lakes in the state.

Disturbances

Disturbance components that make up the Lakeshore Disturbance score. ‘1.0’ indicates disturbance occurs in the immediate shoreline plot. ‘0.5’ indicates the disturbance occurs in an area proximal to, but not within, the immediate shoreline plot.

Comments: Coordinates are where took samples at road crossings and not where inlet meets lake. Inlet 1 is just a ‘tiny trickle’, Inlet 2 is trickle through 10” culvert, inlet 3 is 6m wide at the culver/bridge where the road crosses near the access, Inlet 4 couldn’t find a site where water enters the lake from the boat, Inlet 5 couldn’t find a site where water enters the lake from the boat, there was a trickle through a 10” culvert but no sign of culver opening don downstream side of road crossing
