Description Of Incident:
|
A DPW employee picking up a downed limb noticed an odor around 11:00. Further investigation revealed a sewer in the stormwater collection. A partial obstruction in the sewer system caused untreated sewage to flow into the stormwater collection system. Approximately 3 gpm was flowing into the Whetstone. An employee of a nearby business said they smelled sewer a couple of days prior. 8000 gallons of discharge was estimated for the two day period.
