Corrective Action Taken:
I pumped off a quantity of hypochlorite and liberally disbursed that by hand throughout the chlorine contact tank beginning at the end. I then replaced the internal tubing of the peristaltic pump and ran the pump on high speed for several minutes until the chemical was reaching the contact tank. The entire process took about 15 minutes.

Description Of Incident:
Late morning/early afternoon 7/15/2018 the hypochlorite pump stopped taking up chemical, but continued to discharge the chemical in the discharge line for at least two hours. Due to very low flows the treated but partially disinfected and partially undisinfected wastewater was still in the large chlorine contact tank when I found the problem at 5:22 a.m. on 7/16.
