When operators arrived they found the PLC had failed. Operators started the appropriate pumps manual and monitored the disinfection from there. The event stopped around 12:30AM. An operator stayed through the night to monitor this system, and are currently working on the fix.

Description Of Incident:
|
A sudden rain storm increased the flows to Burlington Main plant. This activated the wet weather treatment system. The disinfection PLC failed, causing the disinfection pumps to no turn on. Operators attempted to start the system remotely before responding. Approximately 58 minutes of the event was not disinfected.
