Heavy rains on 2/24/-2/25/16 and possibly an ice jam caused the Lamoille River to flood the Hardwick Wastewater Treatment Facility influent wet well, chlorine contact chamber and basement of the control building. The flooding of the chlorine contact chamber prevented adequate disinfection of the effluent. The volume estimate is estimated based on the total effluent flow on 2/24/2016.
