Pump station emergency overflow pipe
After river levels had dropped and we were able to safely access the Bethel Mills location we began pumping out the pump station and cleaned out silt that was left deposited from not only the river levels backing up through the emergency overflow but also from the river level being over the access hatch/door. At approximately 3 pm, we were able to fully restore operations at Bethel Mills location as well as Pleasant Street and St Hyacinth stations. St Hyacinth station and Pleasant Street both held during this time without having to have any emergency pumping done.

On December 18 2023, at approximately 5 pm, Bethel Mills Pump Station had to be shut down due to being flooded from rising river levels. With shutting down Bethel Mills, we also had to shut down 2 other pump stations that pump to that location. Pleasant Street And St Hyacinth. Both of these locations were monitored through out the evening/night and we had a local contractor on call incase we would need to have any emergency pumping done. Both locations maintained more then adequate storage while we dealt with this incident.
