1. We received 2.4 inches of rain in roughly two hours.
2. The rainfall stressed out the system
3. An automobile accident in Addison forced Green Mountain Power to shut down the electrical grid in our area. The outage was brief, approx.. An hour. When power was restored around 4:30p.m. I had to reset alarms at my plant as well as the pump stations.
4. Job Corp. did not come back on line, after some extensive trouble shooting we determined debris at the bottom of the wet well was plugging the suction thus not allowing the pump to prime.
5. We called local septic haulers to come pump us down to avoid an overflow but no one would answer. No replies from Clark-Wright Septic, Dundons Septic. We were finally able to get P&P Septic to come but they were in St. Albans which slowed the response. My best memory of the event is that they arrived at roughly 9:00p.m.After pumping the wet well down we were able to clear the obstruction and get the station running.
6. We are currently running on one pump at the Job Corp. Lift station which compounded the problem. The replacement pump has been ordered for 6 months and was due to be delivered last week but no update. Im currently playing phone tag with Champlin Associates to get and ETA for the pump.
