Description Of Incident:
|
We were notified by Endyne, our contract laboratory, that our final effluent sample collected on June 1st at 14:19 had a result of >800 CFU/100ml. Out limit is 77 CFU/100ml. We were notified on 6/2 via a phone message at WWTF#2 and an email at 20:39. The email was read this morning, 6/3, around 06:45. We immediately verified that all equipment was functioning, which it was, and we began a resampling plan.
We are strongly questioning the results since all other indicators, such as our chlorine residual at time of sampling (3.0 mg/l) does not indicate an issue with the disinfection system. This is likely a sampling or analytical error.
