High flows caused by an intense rain storm on 7/23/18 (1.95" rain over 2.5 hours - max rate, 3.56 in/hr) resulted in the discharge of a combination of sewage and stormwater from CSOs #003 and #004. This is an authorized discharge intended to protect the sewer system, to prevent overflows from other parts of the sewer system, and to prevent backups into homes and other buildings. Of this total 3,200,040 gallons are estimated to be stormwater and 168,423 gallons wastewater.
