An attempt was made to repair the DO sensor, but parts are no longer availible and the last of the (used) spare parts was determined to be non-functional when installed. A backup control mode was implemented. This control mode was tested and the effluent sampled to confirm permit complaince. The fix was implemented within 2 hours of discovery of the issue.

The Dissolved Oxygen Sensor for SBR-2 failed. This led to an incorrect DO reading being sent to the control system and under aeration of SBR-2 during the aerobic treatment phase. This caused a discharge with more solids than allowed by permit. The issue was noticed and corrected immediatly when the operators arrived in the morning.
