Description Of Incident:
|
Heavy rains on top of already saturated soils caused high flows through system infiltration. High flows impacted the main pump station beginning in the morning hours of 5-9-25 and lasting into 5-10-24. Normally only one pump operates at this pump station out of a 3-pump setup. At 12:00pm the operator on call was notified that a second pump had started operation. The operator checked the levels in the wetwell and found them to be climbing slowly. At 5:03pm the operator on call was notified of a high level alarm in the wet well. The operator returned to the station and confirmed two pumps were in operation. The operator confirmed that pumps were operating at full capacity and that everything had been done to minimize overflows.
