Staff arrived on site shortly after the alarm. They checked on the pumps and verified that the pumps were working correctly. Watched the wet well level go down and verify a few pump cycles.

High flows in the collection system after a rain storm cause the emergency pump station, that has replaced the broken river crossing, to be inundated with sewage. Staff arrived on site in less than 15 minutes of the alarm. The amount of sewage overflowing the pump station was reported as splashing and trickles. It is likely our estimate is high.
