Operator recorded chlorine residual of 0.00 mg/l. Retested and the residual was 0.80 mg/l. Upon further investigation the operator discovered the discharge hose of the hypochlorite pump was partially blocked. At the time all evidence suggested adequate disinfection, regardless several E-Coli samples were collected and sent to the lab for analysis to confirm adequate disinfection during the partial blockage and after repairs were made. E-Coli results were above acceptable limits during repairs, suggesting incomplete disinfection during this time period and likely less than an hour before discovery due to Hypochlorite usage being inline within historical daily usages. Samples were collected and sent for analysis after repairs were made and results came back within acceptable limits. Approximate volume during 2-3 hour period of partial disinfection was 75,000 gallons.
