High flows caused by an intense rain storm on 8.17.2018 resulted in the discharge of a combination of sewage and stormwater from Pine St CSO. This is an authorized discharge intended to protect the sewer system, to prevent overflows from other parts of the sewer system, and to prevent backups into homes and other buildings.
The flow information has been updated with flow data that was not available until after the 12 hour report. Our flow meter registered only a small amount for flow that actually overflowed equating to just under 40 gallons total.
