Manhole was pumped out and air valve was capped off for the night and repair of the air valve will happen in the morning. Lime was put down where wastewater was flowing on the ground.

Description Of Incident:
|
Member of public reported liquid coming out of a manhole while on a hike in Ft Dummer State Park, utilities department reported to location and found that reported manhole had sewer water coming out of it and that it was part of the force main line coming from Broad Brook pump station. Once manhole was opened it was discovered that the air relief valve was stuck open and discharging liquid during pump run cycles.
