m&m excavating removed the old broken sewer pipe and replaced it with heavy duty "Blue Brute" piping. 300 feet of piping was replaced which was the entire length of pipe between two manholes.

the july 10 flood in ludlow caused the river to rise over its banks and eroded the land next to the river exposing our 14-inch asbestos cement sewer main which carries 95% of the towns sewage to the wwtf. the river water then deposited many feet of gravel and rocks on top of the exposed sewer main puncturing the top of the pipe. the weight from the rocks and gravel eventually moved the pipe over enough to crack the pipe and break apart its joints in several places.
