At 3:35 pm on 2/24/2016, Public Works stafff received a call about a possible sewer leak on Ferry Boar Crossing. By 4:30 pm staff confirmed the leak was sewage and by 5:45 pm a grease blockage was removed from the 4' diameter sewer line. Once the grease blockage was removed, the leak stopped.
The manhole is about 100' from the White River and thus it is unlikely sewage actually reached the River. The start time is when the Public Works Department was notified of the possible sewage leak. The end time is when thegrease blockage was removed. The estimated volume is based on the number of homes connected to the sewer and the duration of the leak.
