City crew arrived on site with vactor truck to remove the obstruction. The obstruction was caused by root intrusion to the sewer line. All roots observed were removed. The obstruction was cleared by 5:00 pm.
Signs were posted at edge of the river at the location of the discharge, which the closest address is 66 Boyton Street. Signs continued until the underpass with South Main Street, approximately 900 feet down stream. Signs were posted on both sides of the river. Signs were installed around 5:00 pm Friday evening, and removed on Monday morning.

City DPW got a call about a discharge from a manhole on Boyton Street at about 1:00 pm. City crews were dispatched immediately and located the exact leak. The nearest address is 66 Boyton Street. The discharge appears to be about 20 gallons a minute.
