One of the two effluent filter pumps before the UV final disinfection failed and with higher flows from rainfall on 01/24/2024 some water flowed from the pumpstation manhole on to the ground until a portable diesel pump was hooked to the pumpstation to assist the in service pump. One pump was in service and pumping most of the water to Headworks. I arrived onsite in the morining and although there was no flow there was some evidence that water had reached the small brook that flows into Bartlett Brook in the dark and the two Operators who responded believed from what they observed onsite that it was likely also.
