River level equalized and backed up treated, disinfected final effluent discharge pipe at the Winooski river outfall. At 1220pm, Operators started the back-up final effluent discharge pump at the facility which discharges final, treated effluent onto the ground adjacent to the wastewater treatment facility building. This discharge point will be utilized ongoing through the immediate afternoon and evening and until the river level recedes. Facility operators will continue monitoring the situation.
